Anna Ross: Bio & Band Info

Anna Ross

Growing up in a very small west Tennessee town, Anna was influenced by bluegrass, country and folk music. It wasn't very long that she discovered a dream and started chasing
it. Anna was singing, songwriting, and playing guitar at the fresh age of 13. She learned early that music could be her own.
She formed her first band, Counter-Clockwise and later joined the band 24 Seven. Together they played all over the Mid-South. She began teaching vocal and beginner guitar lessons at the age of 16 to kids in the local neighborhood and still does to this day.

Jon Eaton - Lead Guitar

Jon came to Middle Tennessee at the age of 17 after graduating from Mckenzie High School in West TN. Since then, he has graduated from MTSU where he studied the music industry and different styles of music: classical, jazz, and even pop/rock. He and Doug Hough founded Blue Morning in 2002. Blue Morning is still going stong today. www.blue-morning.com He is also very excited about Anna's project. "I can't wait to see where this project goes, there is SO much potential and so many great things happening here," says Jon.

Jeff Germscheid - Keys

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Jeff Germscheid has called Nashville home for the last ten years. In that time he has provided innovative keyboard textures and vocals for a vast array of stage and studio projects. As a writer and singer he fronted the local art rock group falling under static, and currently holds the keys/harmony vocals position with Blue Morning as well as doin the same for Anna Ross. Jeff is typically recruited into projects for his, er, um, extremely tactful, warm hearted, and ulimately visionary arrangement and rehearsal suggestions...and this project is no different. You can hear Jeff sing and play on other recent projects at www.fallingunderstatic.com and of course www.blue-morning.com. Jeff's plans for the future include one day actually making plans for the future...

Jeff Elkins - Bass

Jeff’s musical experience spans listening to his father play Bob Dylan and Bill Monroe songs, stints in musical theater and various stage and garage bands, and a tour of Scandinavia with a jazz band before he graduated high school. He eventually returned to bluegrass and folk music, which finally led him from Michigan to Middle Tennessee in 1992. He’s played various stringed instruments on both coasts and various foreign countries (including New Mexico), and has recently fallen back in love with the bass. He is thrilled to be lending his tastefully subtle lines in support of The Anna Ross Project.

Andy Calmes - Drums and Percussion

Andy plays drums. His favorite color is green.
